our love of the land feeds families

Locust Ridge Farms was born from a dream shared by John and Gavin to build a life connected to the land. What began as conversations early in our relationship became a reality following the COVID-19 pandemic, when we decided to pursue farming in earnest. After searching across multiple states, we found our home at Locust Ridge Farms and began our journey on September 11, 2022. 

Today, our 200-acre farm is home to beef cattle, pigs, chickens, ducks, goats, and expanding orchards of apples, pears, hazelnuts, and chestnuts. Through hard work and a commitment to responsible stewardship, we are building a diversified farm that provides high-quality food while preserving the beauty of the land. As we continue to grow, our vision is to create a destination where visitors can experience the peace, connection, and simple joys of farm life through on-farm experiences and future cabin stays.
